What types of paper does the Journal Recherche
et Cas en Sciences de Gestion publish?

What is the difference between "Detailed teaching notes" and "topics for discussion"?
To understand the importance of a tool or a concept, as well as its limits, it is first necessary to have the ability to apply it in practice. The experience of teaching shows that this work is a necessary preliminary if we hope to "go deeper" with a student audience. However, "discussion topics" do not enable such an acquisition of tools and concepts. Therefore only detailed teaching notes are accepted.
What is the difference between a case-study journal and a repository of studies?
Whereas reviewed journals are backed up by peers who specialize in the discipline, case-study repositories usually have only an "editorial viewpoint".
What languages are acceptable in submitted manuscripts?
Manuscripts for evaluation must be in English or French.
Can I submit the same article to
the journal Recherche et Cas en Sciencs de Gestion and to another journal?
No, the author undertakes not to submit it elsewhere for three months.
How and to whom should I send my manuscript?
Your manuscript should be sent to the Editors-in-Chief in electronic form (according to the instructions given under the "Submissions" heading).
How are the reviewers selected?
Reviewers are selected by the Editorial Committee according to the subjects addressed in the study submitted. The study is systematically evaluated by peers who specialize in the subjects featured in the study. Whenever possible, these specialists are members of the evaluation committee; if need be, ad hoc reviewers are appointed.
How long does the evaluation process usually last?
The journal undertakes to respond to authors within three months of a receipt notice being issued by the Editors-in-Chief. However, in view of the "slowdown" of journal activities during July and August, submissions received between July 1 and August 31 may take more than three months to process.
How long does it take to publish an accepted paper?
The publication delay may vary, depending on the special issues in press and current events. The delay should not exceed 18 months.
In what disciplines does the journal publish
articles ?
All of the management-science disciplines are covered: accounting, management audit, entrepreneurship and SMEs, corporate finance and marketing, governance, strategic management, marketing, logistics, organization, human resources, CSR, information systems, etc.
Does the journal publish thematic issues?
An invited editor-in-chief may issue a call for contributions on a particular subject in management science. The invited editor-in-chief will submit an ad hoc selection of the best papers for evaluation by the journal's editorial committee.
Is the journal available in printed form?
No, the electronic format is more convenient and less expensive. However, the Editor of the journal has the option of producing a paper version as a special event, in addition to the one distributed electronically.
Will I receive a payment if my article is published?
No, as in many scientific journal, authors contractually relinquish their copyrights to the journal.
Copyright of Recherche et Cas en Sciences de Gestion is the property

or emailed to multiple sites or posted to a listserv without the
copyright holder's express written permission.
As the author, if my case study is accepted would I still be able to use it in my own courses?
Yes, subject to making a request to the Publications Manager and using the version returned to you in your name.
The published case study needs to be brought up to date. Can I suggest an updating of my study?
Only studies that are utilized by non-subscribers can be updated. In such cases, the author should ensure that at least two years have passed since the first publication before submitting an update to the Publications Manager.
What is an original case study?
A work may be considered original if it is a unique creation, reflecting its author's personality. Thus it is the author's intellectual contribution, more than the "novel" nature of the work, which enables it to be described as "original". Similarly, in a teaching case study, originality is not expressed in the unpublished nature of the data, but in the way in which those data are employed to illustrate a particular subject or problem. The same company or sector may therefore be the subject of more than one original teaching case study.
Where can I find the detailed teaching notes for published cases?
Teaching notes for published cases are available only to subscribers. Subscribers receive an access code that allows them to read the questions and teaching notes.
Is it possible to use a case
study in a teaching class?
Recherche et Cas en Sciences de Gestion has assigned its distribution (journal subscriptions and license fees) to Editions EMS. Such questions should be addressed to EMS (editions@editions-ems.fr).
